Summary of input from our fourth meeting on November 6th:
The meetings take place in the main parish hall at the Fountain Community Church on Broadway and Halleck, right next to the plaza, thanks to Rick Quall and his parish.

Goals for 4th Meeting:
Look at the 3 proposed site designs and come to group consensus on what elements are desired and what should be removed or altered within the plans.

The 4th meeting was a very successful meeting. After summarizing our process from the first 3 meetings, Jenevieve Neros presented information about mosaic as a medium to cover "any surface" with. We then went over the 3 prepared plans. Small groups assessed the 3 different plans. View the 3 plans here:
1 - The Abundant Plaza
2 - The Less than More Plaza
3 - The Clean Plaza

Based on these plans, the groups presented which plan they like the best and changes that they would make. Mardi Solomon, of Crossroads Consulting, assisted us in finding consensus on quite a few aspects of the site plan. Those changes will be reflected in two semi-final plans that will be presented at the final meeting. In addition, the final meeting will address the specific designs of the fountain itself and the furniture that will provide places to rest in the plaza.

Look at samples of fountains here [1 2 3] and furniture [1 2]. Then attend the meeting on November 29th to help us narrow down the ideas to one consensual set of designs for the plaza.

What would YOU like to see? Email us your comments here or come to the meetings.

We will make the final plan available on RE Store and RE Sources websites and present our final concept at neighborhood association meetings in November/December. After the community-based design is completed at the end of 2007, funds will be sought to finance redevelopment of the site.

Please contact Jason Darling, RE Store Outreach & Marketing Manager via email at jason(at)re-store.org with questions or input for the process until November 7th. If you don't have email, call him at his home office: 734-7161.
