2010 Recycled Art and Fashion Show wrapped up in style
Three galleries and three fashion shows in two cities left artists, designers, attendees, and the press inspired. Many people reconsidered what is in their own trash treasure cans.
Photographer Michael Cline says, "Everything about the show has gotten better, reaching a much larger audience, and making a much stronger impression." Read his article on our blog.

Trash Fashion Show Review
The 2010 Trash Fashion Shows in Seattle and Bellingham were complete successes. All three shows played to sold-out crowds, totaling over 800 attendees. The designs were amazing, beautiful and bizarre, including works by Arunas Oslapas' Industrial Design class at Western Washington University.
The press attended in droves, with King 5 News, the Seattle Times and Seattle Weekly, Bellingham Herald, Seattle Magazine, What's Up magazine, the Western Front, KVIK television, Bellingham Alive magazine, and others all in attendance. Read stories in the press here.
The RE Store was proud to partner with W.W.U.'s Fine & Performing Arts College and New York Fashion Academy in Ballard to produce truly memorable evenings to all who attended. The shows featured student work for the first time this year as well as professional/amateur designs.

What is Recycled Art?
Recycled Art is made from anything that is fished out of the waste stream. The waste stream flows deep and wide from each American home and workplace, so materials are abundant. Recycled Art can be inspiring, poignant, useful, beautiful, impractical, wearable, hideous, humorous, or just downright trashy. What calls to you?
